Summer is in full swing and so is the work of the Appointments Committee. Behind the scenes, the committee is carefully reviewing applications and determining placements across our 40+ committees. The committee focuses on assembling skilled, diverse and motivated groups of members ready to advance the College’s work.
If you’ve applied for a new committee or are eligible for a term extension, watch your inbox later this summer (late August) for an official appointment letter with details.

Unsure of your current committee commitments? It only takes a moment to find out:
- Log into your Member Profile on the College website.
- Click on the “Committees” tab.
- Review your current appointments to see if your term is ending this year.
Mark your calendars
All new appointments and term extensions officially begin this November at the Annual Scientific Meeting. The College looks forward to kicking off another year of collaborative work with our returning and new members. Look for updates from your chair or staff liaison regarding whether your committee will be meeting in person at the Annual Meeting.
