The following are some of the key actions taken by the ACAAI Executive Committee at its recent meeting.
- Approved the appointment of the following Advocacy Council Board members from November 2025 through November 2027: Drs. J. Wesley Sublett as chair, Steve Dorman as vice chair, and Gregory Bensch, Nicole Chase, Amar Dixit, Madeleine Ramos and Meagan Shepherd as members.
- Ratified the appointment of Drs. Melinda Rathkopf, David Stukus and Cherie Zachary as ex-officio members of the Advocacy Council Board from November 2025 through November 2026.
- Approved the appointment of the following HOD state delegates with terms beginning November 7, 2025 and continuing through Nov. 2030: Drs. Eugenia Hahn as IL State Delegate, Neha Yakhmi as IN State Delegate, Ahmed Elisa as OH State Delegate, Thomas Helm as MN State Delegate and Meagan Shepherd as WV State Delegate.
- Appointed Dr. Joseph Forester as a Super Delegate to the HOD Southeast Region with a term beginning November 7, 2025 and continuing through Nov. 2030.
- Approved the following recommendations for HOD officers with terms beginning Nov. 7, 2025 and continuing through Nov. 13, 2026: Drs. Ridhu Burton as Recording Secretary, Vivek Rao as Vice Speaker, and Madeleine Ramos as Speaker.
- Authorized the P2P workgroup to select the 2026 Pathways to Practice award recipients following review of the submitted applications and confirmation they adhere to the established requirements.
- Agreed to honor Richard Weber with the 2025 Gold Headed Cane Award at the 2025 Annual Scientific Meeting.
- Approved the development of the ACAAI Review for the Allergy and Immunology Board, 6th Edition in 2026.
- Approved the proposed Track Chair and Nurse Liaison appointments to the 2026 Annual Meeting Program Committee.
- Approved the proposed amendment to the ACAAI Bylaws, Article IV, Section 2, as presented to be presented to voting members at the Annual Business Meeting.
- Approved the establishment of a formal collaboration with Mednet.
