In September 2022, the College launched its “Time for an Allergist” campaign. Videos starring celebrity John C. McGinley (of the hit TV show Scrubs) serve as the centerpiece of this digital campaign that promotes the value of board-certified and fellowship-trained allergists. As of mid-December, we have achieved excellent results with this outreach effort that’s targeted to primary care physicians and other providers as well as the public.
Making use of the full range of digital advertising strategies, we’ve inspired more than 2 million views of our award-winning commercials. In addition, 170,000 PCPs and others checked out our special microsite to learn more about what we do. And 7,600 of these interested folks looked for an ACAAI allergist near them as a direct result of the campaign messaging. We’ll continue this outreach into February and beyond.
