Spotlight on the Annual Meeting Committee

The Annual Meeting Program Committee works behind the scenes to ensure the College’s premier event equips practicing allergists with new knowledge and practical resources they can immediately put into practice. The Committee has built this year’s program from the ground-up, carefully reviewing nearly a hundred submitted proposals to ensure we cover the most relevant topics. They’ve given us an exceptional program, with an impressive lineup of speakers and a wide array of quality educational sessions and hands-on workshops.

Under the leadership of the chair, David Stukus, MD, FACAAI, and vice chair, Lisa Kobrynski, MD, FACAAI, the Annual Meeting Committee has brought new energy and excitement to the meeting. They’ve helped us introduce new session formats to enhance the attendees’ learning experience and foster more meaningful interactions with top experts in the field. Their work includes input from ten subcommittees that are closely aligned with our science committees and include more than 80 content area experts. They’ve dedicated long hours to review, discuss and rate the session proposals and abstracts to ensure the program resonates with the interests and needs of our attendees.

“It’s been humbling to see the level of dedication from everyone involved in shaping the program,” said Dr. Stukus. “Planning the 2019 meeting was a truly collaborative effort that helped us all appreciate the vast expertise within our membership.”

The Committee is excited to have you join the meeting in Houston. Be sure to visit the Annual Meeting site to get all the details and register to attend. Not able to come to Houston? Register for the virtual meeting.
