The College is your professional home

The College is your professional home

What if you had a home base for everything you need as an allergist/immunologist? That place exists — and you’ve got the keys to enter with your ACAAI membership. The College is the home for practicing allergists, so you can be on top of regulations, research, education, patient care, technology and more.

Fighting for issues impacting allergy/immunology
Which issues are affecting practicing allergists now? Prior authorization, PBM reform, Medicare payments to physicians – these issues frequently top the list. We’re addressing them so you don’t have to. Our StrikeForce team of allergists visited Washington, DC in May to meet with members of Congress and their staff to address issues like these. The College is partnering with Congressman Bob Onder (R-MO) on the Allergy and Asthma Patient Protection Act (which should be officially introduced soon). This bill will address commercial payer reimbursement issues that threaten allergy practices across the country. Learn more about how the College’s Advocacy Council is working for you.

Publishing impactful research
Research in the College’s journal Annals of Allergy, Asthma & Immunology is becoming increasingly impactful. In fact, the impact factor of Annals rose to 7.1 in 2025 (it was 4.7 in 2024). A journal’s impact factor is a measure of article citations in a year. The increase demonstrates Annals’ high quality and its value to College members.

Another top-rated membership benefit is the award-winning AllergyWatch, which reviews allergy/immunology topics covered in over 20 medical journals. Keeping up with research is important, but if finding the time is difficult, so plan to attend the Annual Literature Review on Friday, Nov. 13, during the ACAAI Annual Scientific Meeting, Nov. 12-16 in Phoenix. This day-long session will review the most important, clinically focused literature of our specialty published between November 2025 and September 2026, with emphasis on clinical relevance.

Nurturing the next generation of practicing allergists
A knowledgeable, prepared Fellow-in-Training is a precursor to a future of well-cared-for patients. FITs need resources for a successful future, including passing Boards, and we have them. An entire section of the College Learning Connection is dedicated to study resources for FITs. In addition, the College’s FIT and New Allergist Toolkit provides information on careers paths, the job search process negotiating a first contract, and clinical resources for early career allergists. Training Program Directors – share these valuable resources with your FITs.

Meeting your CME and educational needs
The College Learning Connection is your home for education. Get tools, resources and courses to help you stay up to date with the latest in patient care. Check out the Drug Allergy Protocol Library, eParameters and eYardsticks, and the archive of webinars on a variety of allergy-related topics.

Keeping your practice running smoothly
An efficient practice leaves more time for patient care. Whether you are looking for help with business policies and procedures, coding support, marketing tools or resources for your patients, you can find them in the Practice Management Center. New to the lineup is the Employed Allergist Toolkit, with resources unique to employed allergists. Are you curious about how artificial (or augmented) intelligence fits into your practice? Watch our short videos, created by College members, with tips on getting started and effectively using AI in your practice.

Finding connection
If you’re looking for your first position or thinking about making a change, your first stop should be the College’s new, exclusive Career Center. It elevates your job search process into an immersive, engaging experience. The map-based Career Center shows at a glance which sites are hiring, which sites are networking for future openings, and which locations are not currently hiring, but may be in the future.

DocMatter is the College’s virtual community for high-quality, clinical and practice management discussions — exclusive to College members. Every day you’ll find posts about specific clinical issues, with thoughtful discussions and answers to questions.

With more than 2,000 allergy/immunology professionals in attendance, the ACAAI Annual Scientific Meeting is the best place to network and catch up with your peers. Registration for the 2026 meeting opens later this summer.
