The College’s Advocacy Council leads our advocacy efforts for the betterment of our specialty. Our small sub-specialty needs help to make our voices heard in the wide world of medicine. We’ve worked for many years with the American Medical Association (AMA) – and have learned how important its work is to those who practice medicine.
From its huge advocacy presence as a supporter of physicians and medical practices, to the many resources it develops, the organization has a tremendous influence in American medicine. The AMA represents hundreds of thousands of physicians across the country. We ask each of you to support this great organization with your membership – join or renew your AMA membership today!
The AMA continues its vast influence in the world of medicine. The Journal of the American Medical Association (JAMA) remains the most read medical journal in the world.
A strong AMA provides invaluable support for allergists/immunologists. The AMA is focusing on providing value to physicians at each stage of their career. But to have political clout, the AMA needs strong membership numbers to fully represent all physicians and all specialties.
We need the AMA. Now, more than ever, physicians need representation in Washington, DC, and in our state governments. American physicians need a voice as insurance companies, politicians and regulators restrict our practices, distance us from our patients and reduce our incomes. As the saying goes, “If you’re not at the table, you’re on the menu!” We want YOU to belong to the AMA.
