You may be eligible to file a claim for BCBS Antitrust Settlement Fund
A $2.8 billion settlement has been reached involving Blue Cross and Blue Shield (BCBS) plans. The agreement stems from a class-action lawsuit that was initially filed in 2013 alleging anti-competitive use of limits to competition and restrictions on providers’ price-setting ability. Anyone in practice before July 24, 2008, and participated in a previous class action settlement is excluded – unless you opted out.
You may be eligible to recover compensation for suppressed reimbursement rates. However, unlike other class action lawsuits, you must file a claim. The deadline to file a claim is July 29, 2025.
Register now for an upcoming webinar on Friday, July 25 at 11 am CT for health care professionals that will provide a tutorial on how to submit a claim electronically. This webinar is provided by the co-lead counsel in the lawsuit. The settlement is larger in some states than in others.
