Board of Regents
The Board of Regents oversees all councils, advisory groups and the House of Delegates and makes important decisions on behalf of the College.
The Administrative Council ensures the success of the College through oversight of budgeting, ethics, credentials, bylaws changes and enforcement, and Committee appointments.
The Advocacy Council keeps practicing allergists abreast of critical issues, assists in resolving complex payment disputes, monitors and lobbies state and federal elected officials and government agencies, and represents the profession before payers, managed care and other health care entities.
The Communications Council coordinates the College’s efforts to communicate allergy and immunology information to members, the general public, interested organizations, corporations and other health care entities.
The Education Council formulates and oversees the implementation of the College’s education strategy and curriculum, provides leadership to education committees and ensures the development of education leadership.
The Membership Council develops strategies for increasing the value of College membership.
The Nominating Council identifies recipients of prestigious College awards and nominates candidates to serve in important leadership positions, such as the President-Elect and the Vice President.
The Scientific Council evaluates and coordinates current therapeutic and diagnostic issues within its committees’ subject areas.
A not-for-profit, charitable 501(c)(3) organization, the Foundation develops, promotes and funds clinical research and physician education programs related to allergy, asthma and immunology.
House of Delegates
The House of Delegates provides a forum to discuss issues affecting the specialty, disseminates information among allergists, and records official input by local, state and regional allergy societies for the ACAAI Board of Regents.
