Recently, it has come to the College’s attention that Quest Direct is now offering various direct-to-consumer food allergy panel tests. We have sent a letter to Quest stating that this type of serum IgE testing should only be used and evaluated in conjunction with the patient’s full medical history, and urged the company to reconsider offering these tests to consumers.
