Be a part of National Allergy and Asthma Awareness Month

May is Allergy and Asthma Awareness Month! It’s the ideal time to raise awareness about these common conditions. The College makes it easy for you to share information with the public. Check out our dedicated Awareness Month toolkit.

Because community health fairs, screenings and other live events won’t be happening this spring in much of the country, we’ve put together tools for you to use virtually. Many teachers are looking for interesting topics to finish out the school year; volunteer to be a guest presenter! Some libraries are hosting virtual guest speakers to replace their live events too. Your health care system may be offering webinars to the community. Or use our content to create a special awareness month feature on your practice website.

Short on time but active on social media? We have messages, images, infographics and a life quality test ready for you to post for your fans. Or simply follow the College on Twitter, Facebook or Pinterest and share our content throughout the month of May. You’ll help us get the word out about finding relief from allergies and asthma.

It’s likely you’ll be seeing more patients in the office soon. Our Awareness Month toolkit also shows you how to order popular patient information brochures.

If you’d like help using the toolkit, contact Amy Romanelli, ACAAI member communications manager

Now, more than ever, it’s important to let the public know how allergists can help them manage their symptoms, stay healthy, and live their best life. Kudos to all of our members for supporting their patients so well during this time. We hope you enjoy this opportunity to celebrate all the ways that you improve the quality of life for so many in your community. The National Allergy and Asthma Awareness Toolkit is supported by AstraZeneca.
