Advocating for allergists

Are you ready to join the College in amplifying allergists’ voices? The House of Delegates (HOD) has multiple opportunities for you to be part of the advocacy leadership.

The College is looking for a super-delegate for the Southeast Region (Alabama; Florida; Georgia; Kentucky; Louisiana; Mississippi; North Carolina; Puerto Rico; South Carolina; Tennessee) – one of our six regions throughout the United States. Super-delegates work with College, Advocacy Council, HOD leaders and state delegates, collecting and disseminating information related to the practice of allergy. They monitor regional and state legislation; establish and maintain contact with legislators, physicians and regional societies; and collect and communicate advocacy news to College leaders. Learn more about this exciting position. Any College Fellow can apply – applications are being accepted through Feb. 28.

In addition, the College is looking for members to serve as HOD State Delegates in a few states where representation is still needed. The success of our HOD depends on having adequate representation across the country. We’re looking for active College members – like you – to serve as local advocates, supporting the work of the HOD and creating a national network of advocating allergists. Read the State Delegate job description for more information.

If you live in one of the following states, we invite you to apply to serve as one of our College-appointed delegates for your state: Delaware, Hawaii, Idaho, Iowa, Massachusetts, Minnesota, Mississippi, Montana, Nevada, New Hampshire, North Carolina, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee, Utah, Vermont, Washington, and Wyoming.
