The House of Delegates (HOD) wants you to be part of the advocacy leadership! The College is looking for members to serve as its State Delegates in a few states where representation is still needed.
The success of our HOD depends on having adequate representation across the country. We’re looking for active College members to serve as local advocates, supporting the work of the HOD and creating a national network of advocating allergists. Read the State Delegate job description for more information. We invite you to apply to serve as one of our College-appointed delegates for your state.
We’re looking for delegates in the following states:
States | |
---|---|
Alaska Delaware Florida Hawaii Idaho Iowa Maryland Minnesota Michigan Mississippi Montana |
North Carolina North Dakota Oklahoma South Carolina South Dakota Tennessee Utah Vermont Washington Wyoming |
The College’s HOD serves as our eyes and ears at the local, state and regional levels – and as a leading advocate for policy issues. Serving as a state delegate is an opportunity to represent the College, the HOD and your colleagues. These representatives share legislative intel between local, state and regional societies and College leadership.
The HOD is positioned to effect change by identifying and addressing legislative and policy issues before they can adversely affect our specialty. This is the reason for multi-layer representation at the local/state/regional level.
We hope you’ll join us in this effort. State delegate applications will be accepted until Feb. 28. Apply now to represent your community, your colleagues and the allergy specialty.
