Advice for Wellness, Relaxation and Mental Health During the COVID-19 Pandemic

The College recognizes the importance of maintaining physical and mental well-being for our  patients and members during times of stress, as well as the role that wellness can play in helping to prevent illness.  The COVID-19 pandemic has increased levels of stress for virtually everyone. In addition, many people are seeking information about how best to keep from becoming ill from the virus, as well as information about complementary medicine approaches to treating the disease, such as nutritional supplements and breathing techniques.

The College’s Integrative Medicine Committee has prepared articles and videos to assist physicians and patients in understanding important wellness topics, including general tips for staying mentally and physically well; relaxation techniques including breathing; and information about nutrition, vitamins and supplements. These articles provide clinical, research-based as well as practical information. College members are encouraged to share this information with patients:
