ACAAI Town Hall meeting – Learn strategies to benefit your practice

You’re invited to attend the ACAAI House of Delegates (HOD) annual Town Hall Meeting, Friday, Nov. 7, 4:30 – 6:00 pm ET in Orlando, Florida, during the College’s Annual Scientific Meeting. Enjoy a wine and cheese reception and get information on legislation that might affect your practice, advocacy issues, College resources and reasons to engage with your local/state societies.

During a brief business meeting, officers and a new Southeast Super Delegate will be chosen. Immediately following, Matt Reiter, Principal at Capitol Associates, our Washington lobbying firm, will provide an update on pending legislation and its impact on you and your practice, as well as tips to advocate on behalf of yourself, your practice, and the allergy specialty. J. Allen Meadows, MD, FACAAI, Executive Director of Advocacy and Government Affairs, will provide a summary of the Payer Education Campaign and outline what to expect in the coming year.

The College has dozens of resources to help allergists, and Jennifer Pfeifer, MBA, CMPE, Director of Practice Management, will describe and direct you to the many allergy-specific resources. Kathleen May, MD, FACAAI, will define the necessity of local/state societies, explain why you should belong, and share a personal experience she encountered concerning USP Chapter <797>.

Lastly, the new HOD Speaker of the House, Madeleine Ramos, MD, FACAAI, will describe her plans for the future of the College’s HOD. Make sure to include this meeting in your Annual Meeting plans. We look forward to seeing you all in Orlando!
