ACAAI has been awarded Accreditation with Commendation by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME®). This is the highest level of accreditation awarded! The College has met the rigorous requirements of offering independent CME that accelerates learning, change, and improvement in health care.
Accreditation in the ACCME System seeks to assure the medical community and the public that ACAAI delivers education that is relevant to clinicians’ needs, evidence-based, evaluated for its effectiveness, and independent of commercial influence.
College staff worked for months to demonstrate compliance with not only the Core Accreditation Criteria, but also Standards for Integrity and Independence in Accredited Continuing Education. In addition, to obtain Accreditation with Commendation, the College had to meet eight additional criteria in areas such as: addressing public health priorities, advancing skills, engaging in research/scholarship, demonstrating educational leadership and innovation, and achieving outcomes.
We’d like to acknowledge the staff and members of the Accreditation and Certification Committee and the Education Council for helping the College to earn this esteemed accreditation status, as well as thank all past Annual Meeting faculty and Annals authors who submitted CME articles, for continually complying with the various ACCME-related requirements.
