The College is looking for someone with drive, commitment and expertise to help lead the College as Executive Medical Director (EMD). If you’re a former president or have served on the College’s Executive Committee (of the Board of Regents), consider applying for the position of EMD.
The primary role of the EMD is to relieve pressure on the College president and staff, to help implement vision, and to act as a reviewer/judge of potential conflicts of interest. The position also provides guidance and assistance in the areas of internal and external communications, advocacy, education, governance, finance, practice management, legal issues and new project analysis.
“This is a terrific opportunity to serve the College and the whole allergy community,” said current EMD Michael Blaiss, MD, FACAAI.
The selected individual will work under the current EMD from Sept. 1 – Dec. 31, 2022 and assume full responsibility for the position on Jan. 1, 2023. This is a part time position (.3 FTE), and compensation is provided.
Any former College Presidents or Executive Committee members who would like to be considered are encouraged to contact Miriam Standish via email or by phone at 847-725-2299 to start the application process. The application deadline is April 5, 2022.
