On March 26-27, the College will host its Leadership Summit: Generation Next. The event, which has been held annually since 2018, is specifically designed for young physician members (45 years of age or younger or in first 10 years of practice) who are looking to enhance their leadership abilities. Applications are due Feb. 4.
The in-person event offers a unique hands-on program for practicing allergists in early stages of their careers to develop important leadership skills. Participants will learn how to communicate effectively, prevent and resolve conflict and advocate for change. The ACAAI Leadership Summit gives all attendees, even those who have never had a previous leadership role, a great foundation to become a future leader for the specialty – be it within their own practice/community, through their work with the College or by getting involved at the regional, national or international level.
Past participants are already taking a more active role in the work of the College. Most are currently volunteering on committees, some have stepped up to serve as committee chairs and vice chairs, and many have joined the Board of Regents.
