For a limited time, Fellows-in-Training (FIT) members receive a 30% discount on the popular Allergy & Immunology Self-Assessment (AIM) program that the College launched last summer. AIM is a web-based program that’s designed to help allergy/immunology providers and trainees obtain new knowledge and reaffirm their existing knowledge. The program consists of 108 case-based, multiple-choice questions to help evaluate and maintain clinical competence.
Questions address the basic and clinical science topics covered in the board exam, broken into nine categories:
- immune mechanisms
- cells involved in immune response
- immunological disorders
- non-disease specific pharmacology/therapeutics
- anatomy/physiology/pathology
- research principles
- hypersensitivity disorders
- specific diagnostic modalities
- allergens/antigens
The four modes in the self-assessment (pretest, learn, posttest, comparison) provide a comprehensive learning experience. Participants can measure their initial knowledge, learn through evidence-based discussions and references, test their knowledge after study, and get peer-to-peer comparison based on the responses of others who have completed the assessments.
The American Board of Allergy & Immunology (ABAI) designates this program for 22 ABAI MOC Part II (Self-Assessment) credits.
AIM Self-Assessment is on sale for $139 for FIT Members until May 31, 2021. FIT membership in the College is FREE for Fellows-in-Training.
