Alliance Member

The Alliance is a component organization of the American College of Allergy, Asthma & Immunology whose members are spouses of College members. We foster friendships, support College awards and grants and assist in the success of the annual meeting.

Who We Are

We are composed of men and women dedicated to bringing its members into a more active affiliation with the educational and cultural mission of the College by establishing scholarships and grants for young ACAAI investigators, providing a program of educational and social activities in the convention city and cultivating and strengthening a family atmosphere among its members.

What We Do

Since its inception in 1954, the Alliance has supported and augmented the activities of the College and its mission of education by encouraging the growth of the specialty of allergy and clinical immunology. For the youth, the Alliance offers “ACAAI KIDS” programs with adult accompaniment. We offer social and educational programs during the Annual Scientific Meeting for members and guests.

Alliance Member Benefits

A membership with the Alliance ensures that you’ll stay updated on both College and Alliance news and activities with the ability to receive the College Advantage (a quarterly newsletter) and College Insider (a weekly email).

Members will receive access to the Hospitality Suite at the ACAAI Annual Scientific Meeting, where we offer registered spouses and guests coffee and a continental breakfast! There you can meet with other attendees to make new acquaintances and reconnect with old friends. On select mornings, join us for special programming designed with the convention city in mind – in the past we’ve heard from historians, local artisans, authors and chefs who present us with ideas on the best places and things to see and do while at the convention.

The Alliance also works to raise funds for the ACAAI Foundation. This non-profit organization strengthens, supports and funds allergy/immunology training programs; raises awareness of the critical role the allergist plays in cost-effective treatment of asthma and other allergic and immunologic diseases; and supports asthma camp programs to teach children and their parents how to live with asthma. Past fundraisers include silent auctions and the sale of cookbooks and note cards.
