Medical Gloves for COVID-19

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has released a comprehensive resource about medical gloves during COVID-19. The FDA has provided manufacturing flexibilities during the public health emergency, but the agency does not purchase or supply gloves.

This resource focuses on glove shortages, manufacturing, importing and purchasing gloves, with an FAQ section on these issues and more. The guidance does suggest some options to try as sources for purchasing.

In addition, the resource page provides guidance on things to look for as you purchase other pieces of personal protective equipment (PPE).

More PPE Sources

Project N95 is a volunteer organization that serves as a national clearinghouse for personal protective equipment (PPE). Their volunteers coordinate with suppliers around the world to help health care workers find and obtain PPE. If you are in need of PPE, you can submit a request for equipment to Project N95. More information is available online or via e-mail.

The College and Advocacy Council wish to extend appreciation and gratitude to our members and all health care providers for their tireless efforts during COVID-19.
