MEDCAC members generally are recognized authorities in clinical medicine including subspecialties, administrative medicine, public health, biological and physical sciences, epidemiology and biostatistics, clinical trial design, health care data management and analysis, patient advocacy, health care economics, medical ethics or other relevant professions.
Dr. Foggs graduated from Yale University with a bachelor of science degree in biology and biochemistry. He earned his medical degree from Harvard Medical School and completed his internship and residency at Northwestern University Medical Center/Northwestern Memorial Hospital in Chicago. He completed fellowship in allergy and immunology at the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine and Hospitals.
Dr. Foggs is an ACAAI Distinguished Fellow and currently serves on numerous College committees. He has served as a consultant to the National Heart, Lung & Blood Institute, the FDA, and the National Institutes of Health, and was a member of the Expert Panel 3 responsible for writing the NIH Asthma Guidelines. He is Chief of Allergy and Immunology for the Advocate Medical Group of Advocate Health Care – one of the largest integrated health care networks in the United States – in Chicago.
