CMS has created a Quality and Resource Use Report (QRUR) for physicians that compares how much you and/or your practice have been paid by Medicare per beneficiary and rates your performance based on certain quality measures (such as PQRS) to that of your peers. The QRUR report for 2014 has just been released.
How you compare will have financial implications on your Medicare reimbursement. Physicians who provide high-quality, low-cost care can receive a bonus of up to four percent, while those who provide low-quality, high-cost care may have as much as four percent of their reimbursement withheld. Once you get your report, review it carefully and make any necessary changes in your practice.
