The House of Delegates (HOD) has been an integral part of the College for many years. College leaders are reinvigorating the HOD to play a versatile role at the local, state and regional levels. The new HOD will develop a nationwide, grassroots network made up of College delegates. That’s where you come in.
Delegates in the new HOD will act as the main points of contact in each state. They will connect with local, state and regional societies and policymakers, and will work closely with the Advocacy Council to identify and address policy issues for the College before they adversely impact the specialty. Are you interested but unsure how to do these activities? Don’t worry – the College will train you!
Any College member in good standing can apply to become a delegate through the HOD nomination process.
Serving as a delegate allows you to be the voice for your colleagues and patients. While priorities and activities may vary throughout the year, delegates can expect to dedicate one to two hours per month to this position.
