Power up your practice with the Advocacy Council
The Annual Scientific Meeting, Nov. 15-19 in Seattle, is coming up fast! Many of the topics will be familiar, such as coding. And, in response to our membership there will also be new and timely topics relevant your practice.
Our symposium, Advocacy Council Coding and Government Regulations Update, on Nov. 17 will give you an inside look at the state of our specialty including governmental regulations and coding. We’ll be discussing strategies to survive and thrive in the face of changing regulations as well as what to watch for on the political landscape in 2019. We’re also going to tackle proper coding and common pitfalls to avoid and give an update on the alphabet soup of government regulations.
Then, on Nov. 17 we are participating in an Ask the Experts Roundtable entitled Pearls for Keeping Your Practice Healthy. There, you can select topics of interest and move from table to table, spending 15 minutes with each expert as they discuss the topic and answer questions. Topics will include items such as
- USP & FDA compounding update
- How to be an effective advocate for your specialty
- Contracting & carrier relationships
- Pearls on billing biologics
- Managing expenses in changing times
- Collection pearls for 2018
- And more!
An optional ticketed event featuring the Advocacy Council is part of the Office Administrators Program on Nov. 16. Titled Everything You Wanted to Know About Coding for Allergy but Are Afraid to Ask, it’s a great educational opportunity for both your staff and yourself! We’ll be diving into topics like:
- How to code for allergy-specific visits and services
- Rush/cluster/rapid desensitization
- Coding for biologics (does buy and bill work?)
- Food challenges
- Venom immunotherapy
- And more!
During the Office Administrators program, we will also be doing an Advocacy Council Update on MACRA, USP, coding and insurance and more.
You can register now for the Annual Meeting. We look forward to seeing you in Seattle and sharing with you, our membership, our combined experience and wisdom.
